Richard is a MA/PhD student in the Department of Communication at UCSB. He is interested in video games (especially MMOs), virtual worlds, and other forms of new media. As a member of the Media Neuroscience Lab, Richard explores his research interests from cognitive psychology and evolutionary perspectives. Before attending UCSB, Richard held several corporate research positions at companies such as Nissan North America, The Walt Disney Company, and Lieberman Research Worldwide. Richard received his BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor in Economics from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo.
